I wouldn't recommend. I was looking for a spot to rest for the evening and found this location. Overall the area was clean, but it's right underneath Highway 90; so unless you enjoy the sound of 18 wheelers roaring past all thru the night, I'd suggest finding another spot to post up for the night. If you have to stay here head as far as you can from the road. That said, the lake was beautiful and I'm sure spending the day here with your family would be fun.

Great place to enjoy Lake Amistad, occasionally there are jet skiers getting a little too close. Overall though great place to swim, fishing at this location ain't so hot though.
Absolutely love bringing kiddos here for picnics and to walk down to the water
This whole campground is so close to the highway that you will hear trucks rumbling by all night on the bridge which is almost over head. But there are other wonderful places to camp all around the lake.
