Like others have said, this is the best deal in Del Rio! Locally family owned. The owner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Very friendly and talkative. Interacts with guests like they are old friends. Makes you feel at home. Friendly owner, clean facility, nice rooms and comfortable beds and low priced rooms. They also offer several choices for breakfast. Nice artwork in the lobby. There is a bar nightclub (1300) on site that has a DJ on weekends and drinks are not expensive. Hair salon on site. There is a fenced in pool also. I highly recommend this motel. We are very happy with our stay and will stay again. Very happy and no complaints. I can't wait to be back!
The owners are fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming - a unique experience. Provided tips about the border town Ciudad Acuna.

I visit Acuña for dental work and have stayed in several hotel/motels in Del Rio. Whispering Palms is one I return to each time. Reasonably priced, clean, updated a couple years ago and the staff are great. The owner is attentive and I enjoy conversation with him as he is well traveled and interesting, but overall very concerned about your stay. Recommended.
Stayed here while in town for work. Had semi parking, the place was very clean, very reasonably priced, there's good places to wat within walking distance, and the owner is a really nice guy.
