Hotel is older and in need of some remodeling. They changed their lunch/dinner menu since last year and I did not find the new menu to have as varied a selection as their previous menu. Room was missing a couple light bulbs but they were replaced after we mentioned it to the front desk. Staff is very friendly and courteous.
This place had descent mattresses. The bathroom was tiny. The tub is tiny, old and stained. The carpet was stained and looked nasty from the entrance to the restroom. The toilet is so low to the floor it felt like I was sitting in the floor and it barely flushes. The water builds up in the tub so showering is inconvenient. They do not have the customary breakfast but they offer a breakfast buffet in the restaurant for $10. The room entrance is outside and there are no elevators to get to the upper floors. There are no carts to carry your stuff to your room. The tv was nice sized and had some good channels but the picture was fuzzy. They do not have the air on in the room so it is hot and stuffy for several hours until it can cool off. This was my experience. Hopefully if you try this hotel your experience will be better. Good luck!
Great vibe! Hotel bar, with live music and locals. Great breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes. Indoor AND outdoor pools. Sure, it's not polished; but it was a great stay. Friendly staff, and they accept dogs. That was especially important for the people escaping hurricane Harvey (and there were a lot).
My first time visiting Del Rio was for a wedding this past weekend. The hotel was so easy to find and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal, we will stay there again next time.
The room is decent, about what you would expect. What sets this Ramada apart is their Ladies' Breakfast! It's only $6 for all you can eat. Anything you want, you can have. It's kind of elegant with wonderful waitstaff. They do it Monday through Friday. You don't have to stay there to enjoy their fantastic breakfast, either. I have breakfast there every time I'm in Del Rio for business. It's not a bad price ($9) if you are of the male persuasion; still all you can eat. Try it, you will like it.
