It's a nice hospital and the people taking care of my dog were very kind and gentle to Rosie. Could not ask for a better veterinarian, she caring and took really good care of Rosie. Thanks!

Brought my dog in for stomach problems. The attending staff were all very nice and professional and made me and my dog feel comfortable and at ease. The were very quick getting us in, and were very thorough when examining my dog. When it came time for treatment, they provided me with multiple options, and broke down the cost with me so I could make the decision I was comfortable with. I would highly reccomend Del Rio Veterinary Hospital based on the professionalism and the effectiveness of the administered treatment.

At 1st it was great doctor and assistant were wonderful with my dog. Then the price came out and it was high. I was then told I'd just have to put down a few hundred dollars to keep my dog and it would be day by day. I went in the next day and boom they wanted hundreds of dollars more from me. The manager was rude about it told me to just ask someone I knew for it or do a gofundme because she couldn't let me pay half then half next week because she had done that with others and they didn't pay and they need to pay rent too. Anyways, they kept my dog till I could come up with $$ and said if I couldn't come up with the whole amount they'd keep my dog and charge for the days they keep him. So, I do not recommend this place at all.

I was very impressed with the professionalism by the Dr. and the entire staff.

As for cost, well, it would have been MUCH cheaper for my daughter if the other vets had correctly diagnosed the problem in the first place instead of misdiagnosing the problem twice before I took her to this office in Del Rio.

I have been caring for my daughters Chocolate Lab for about 2 months now since she was deployed to Afghanistan. Prior to me getting the dog, my daughter had been to 2 different vets in the Fredricksburg Virginia area to determine why the dog was having rectal bleeding after she went to the bathroom. She was told by both vets that it was an infection and was given antibiotics twice but the condition never improved. I decided to take the dog to Del Rio Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital and after a brief rectal exam, the Dr. found the problem to be an ulcerated polyp that can easily be removed by a simple surgical procedure. The Dr also identified a potential Hypothyroid condition simply by looking at the dogs tail which looked like a possums tail. They did blood work which confirmed that diagnosis as well and prescribed thyroid pills for that.

Our Max was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea over the weekend. Took him in first thing Monday morning to seek help. The staff and Dr were so caring and helpful. Max had to stay the night and we were updated on everything that he was doing and welcomed every time we came in promptly without a wait and the most understanding staff. I had multiple questions at different times and was never made to wait very long for the answers if at all. To say the least they went above and beyond in all aspects. Thank you all for the care and support you all provided Max and our family during the difficult and scary time we were facing.
